Essentially, what the new Yes FT5G Discover Plan SIM card pack offers is the ability to utilise the national 5G network for free although it does have a validity period of 30 days. Unlike the existing Yes Prepaid FT5G Plan which costs RM30 per month and provides unlimited 7Mbps 4G access, the Discover Plan comes with a 10GB 4G data quota which is applicable for both normal smartphone and hotspot usage....
Of course, like all free services in today’s modern age, there are a couple of catches. Firstly, all the free movies come with ads attached to them. They pop up mid-film, just as they would when you watch a typical YouTube video. It’s a fair trade, given that there are some titles in that list that would appeal to a good number of YouTube’s 1.9 billion monthly active viewers. The second catch is more of a regional issue....

The agreement, which was disclosed last Friday, will still require approval by a US judge. To break down the settlement, Apple will have to pay consumers US$25 (~RM105) per affected iPhone. That amount may change based on the number of eligible iPhones, but Apple will still need to payout a minimum of US$310 million (~RM1.3 billion) to affected users. On a side note, the settlement will only cover US owners, and not global owners....
According to Apple, the affected wall plug adapter may break in rare cases and the exposed metal parts within it could cause electrical shock when touched.
