According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple will finally bring an Always-On Display (AOD) feature to some of this year’s iPhone 14 lineup. AOD has long been available on many Android devices and Apple was supposed to introduce the feature last year with the iPhone 13 Pro as the phone used an LTPO display but the feature was apparently scrapped before the launch. Having an LTPO panel is essential to deliver AOD without consuming too much power although Apple’s current ProMotion technology has a range of between 10Hz to 120Hz....

iPay88 says it immediately initiated an investigation on the date of the incident, and had brought in cybersecurity experts to contain the issue. It added that the containment process was successful and no further suspicious activity has been detected since 20 July 2022. Even though the company admitted that user card data has likely been compromised, it did not disclose the number of users affected by the attack. This is undeniably worrying, as a large number of local online stores, e-wallets, credit cards, Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) services, and banks rely on its online payment gateway....

The exploit, referred to as “checkm8”, was announced on Twitter by a security researcher going by the handle axi0mX (@axi0mX). In his tweet, axi0mX says that iPhones running from the Apple A5 to the A11 chipset were affected. For context, iOS jailbreaks involve exploiting software vulnerabilities within the OS. In this case, the new exploit is described as “a permanent unpatchable bootrom exploit”. Involving read-only memory within hardware rather than the OS....

However, THR later reported the following: Despite the groundswell and speculation that a [Justice League] Snyder Cut could go to Warner Bros.’ upcoming streaming service HBO Max, insiders tell The Hollywood Reporter no announcement of a release of any such cut is imminent. The report, apparently, has caused many fans who have been rallying for the past two years to lose hope. After all, Warner Bros has the final say on whether or not to release Zack Snyder’s version of the film, and if WB isn’t interested despite the cast of the film itself calling for it, then perhaps this ‘Snyder Cut’ of Justice League will never see the light of day....

The game itself has an incredibly long name. It’s “I Love You, Colonel Sanders! A Finger Lickin’ Good Dating Simulator”, in case you were wondering. In it, you play a culinary student, with one of the goals being – you guessed it – to date Colonel Sanders himself. There are other characters in the game, including a Professor Dog. But based on the game’s description, it looks like none of them are available as romantic interests....

The helmets are currently being supplied to KTMB’s auxiliary police officers who would patrol inside the train coaches as well as train stations. The company stated that the smart helmets will supplement existing COVID-19 preventive methods that it has already deployed which include the temperature scanners, hand sanitiser, and periodic sanitisation of the train coaches themselves. In regards to the colour, one of the leaks showcases the Pixel 4 in what looks to be a really bright orange. Twitter user @CrazyLeaksTrain claims that Bloodborne, an Uncharted collection, Ghost of Tsushima, and God of War will be making their way to PC. The Uncharted collection is presumably the Nathan Drake Collection, which compiles the remasters of the first three games into one, though the leaker themselves claim it will be all four main titles. According to GamesRadar+, the leaker has a pretty good track record. They have predicted the Ninja Gaiden remasters and the port of Nioh 2 to PC, even if their predicted dates are a few months off....

The Langkawi pilot project which will be launched on 15 November, will allow fully vaccinated international tourists from all countries to visit the island without having to go through a quarantine period. The bubble only allows foreign visitors to travel to Langkawi by booking a trip through a travel agent, who will be held responsible for any SOP non-compliance. The conditions for the international tourist bubble are quite strict. For starters, the stay would have to be a minimum of three days while the travellers need to take RT-PCR tests before their departure date to Langkawi as well as on their second day at the island, and another test on the fifth day if the trip is over five days....

In addition to that, Wi-Fi Calling has not yet been listed under Maxis’ name on Apple’s website. That being said, several Lowyat.NET Forum members said that they were able to obtain the feature on their iPhones. The availability of VoWiFi for Maxis customers is definitely a long time coming given that its competitors such as U Mobile who had rolled out the feature way back in 2016 which was then followed by Digi in 2017....

As per the official PSA, MyCERT had recently issued a security advisory about certain Android apps containing malware that are able to not only view a person’s SMSes but also obtain their TAC numbers that are normally used to conduct any banking transactions. To that end, Maybank also provided a link to the MyCERT advisory portal to show which apps have been flagged as malware-riddled but as of this publication, we are unable to access the site....

Essentially with the Order & Collect feature, you place an order in advance via the app, and the food is delivered to you when it’s ready. MCMC has also revealed that the employee was already put under 14-day home quarantine since 4 March after it was determined that her husband was in contact with a COVID-19 patient.
