The petition page says that the Exynos chips are generally slower, have shorter battery lives, and overheat faster. And in addition to that, the Exynos variants of Samsung flagships also use the company’s own camera modules rather than Sony’s. The petition goes on to claim that Samsung’s sensors are not as good as Sony’s.
At the time of writing, the petition has already gotten 15695 signatures. This is over the course of what looks to be three days. The fact that the petition exists, and that it got so many signatures, isn’t really surprising. The Exynos versus Snapdragon debate crops up every time Samsung announces a new flagship with the two variants. But despite the petition, it remains to be seen if the Korean tech giant will do anything about it. As mentioned, the comparison comes up with every Samsung flagship.
