The three new HEDT chipsets in question are the TRX40, TRX80, and the WRX80, were discovered by Twitter user @momomo_us after they made their way to the USB-IF. The names of the chipsets are interesting for a number of reasons. First, the two chipsets with the “TRX” moniker is clearly designed for the enthusiasts, while the lone WRX80 is clearly AMD wanting to push this particular chipset for the workstation market segment. ANd while there are still no official hardware specifications, the names of the chipsets are believed to be a hint at what we could look forward to. According to TPU, TRX40 could have an I/O setup similar to AMD’s current X570 chipset and could feature a 4-channel memory layout on its motherboard.
