According to a source close to the popular leakster site, Videocardz, AMD’s new launch date for the 6X50XT cards is now set for 10 May, and not the original 20 April date that was initially reported. As to why AMD decided to push back on the launch date, it’s anybody’s guess. AMD is expected to announce three new cards under the RDNA2 lineup, the cards supposedly being the 6950XT, 6750XT, and 6650XT. In addition, the GPU memory for the three cards are expected to run at a higher 18Gbps across the board, after the 6900XT and 6500XT. Further, the reference designs are also expected to sport an all-black cooler shroud, similar to the 6800XT Midnight Black shroud AMD launched last year. That said, the new 10 May launch date is still not officially confirmed by AMD. So, while Videocardz may still feel confident about it, we highly recommend that you treat this news with a varying degree of skepticism. (Source: Videocardz)
