According to user post on the Chinese-based video site Bilibili, the Ryzen 3000 CPUs currently in the possession of motherboard manufacturers range from four cores to eight cores, but word is that they’re also preparing for the arrival of CPUs housing 12 and 16 cores. In terms of performance, the new processors reportedly run stable at 4.5GHz, with Cinebench scores being approximately 15% faster and more powerful than AMD’s current top-tier consumer CPU, the Ryzen 7 2700X. Further, these new CPUs achieves this clockspeed while retaining both low thermal output and TDP.
Another important fact to look at here is that the leak also indirectly confirms the existence of another component – AMD’s X570 motherboards. The X570 motherboard is one of the most hotly anticipated components by PC enthusiasts, Primarily because it’s rumoured to be the first motherboard generation that will ship out with up to 40 PCIe 4.0 lanes. Double what the current X470 motherboard is capable of offering. Getting into the technicalities briefly, that means the motherboards will be able to power up eight USB 3.1 Gen2 ports, along with the usual fare of expansion slots, SATA ports, and USB 2.0 ports.
