This new addition might sound odd to those who regularly stream their content rather than downloading content on their device, sure. But the new feature is somewhat of a blessing to users who are doing just that, especially in instances of preparing a couple of movies or TV episodes for a lengthy flight. Much like the existing offline viewing feature, subscribers are able to watch their partially downloaded content from the Downloads or Continue Watching menu on the app. Of course, the only caveat of watching an incomplete video is experiencing its unintended abrupt ending but hey, at least you know what went down before that. Upon reaching that point, as usual, Netflix will obligatorily ask you to connect your device to a Wi-Fi or a 4G/5G wireless network in order to continue watching. Cussing and shaking your fist at the nonexistent internet connection on flight or in a remote area is optional, but try not to disturb others if you are thinking of doing so.
As mentioned earlier, the new feature for watching incomplete downloads is available to all Netflix app users only on Android for now. iOS users, on the other hand, will have to wait a while longer for it to be available.
