Bloomberg suggests that the iPhone 12 will be available in four models, and in three different sizes. The regular versions of the phone will come in 5.4 and 6.1-inch options, while the Pro variant is offered in a choice of either 6.1 or 6.7-inches. Apple is said to ship the standard variants ahead of the Pro models, which is expected to be released in late 2020. The report also seemingly confirmed the design rumours of the iPhone 12 series, which is said to sport an iPad Pro-like aesthetic with flat edges rather than curved. In addition, it added that standard models of the device will feature aluminium edges while the Pro variants will use stainless steel. Sources told the news agency that only the 6.7-inch iPhone 12 will feature the same LiDAR scanner that was built into this year’s iPad Pro models. Alongside the new smartphone series, Apple is said to also launch a brand new iPad Air which would incorporate an edge-to-edge display similar to the iPad Pro. However, not much information was available for this model, although rumours suggest that it may feature a 10.8-inch display and either an under-display Touch ID feature or Touch ID power button. Bloomberg added that the company will introduce two new Apple Watch devices, with the Series 6 and a low-cost option replacement for the Series 3. The long rumoured over-ear headphones – said to be known as the AirPods Studio – is also suggested to make a debut this fall, as well as an updated version of the Apple HomePod speakers. Although the report stated that the aforementioned products will launch in fall, no specific dates were provided. Rumours suggest that Apple may hold an event to unveil the new devices sometime this month. (Source: Bloomberg via MacRumours)
