The game will be playable via Ubisoft’s UPlay digital platform on the PC, starting from 19 June until 21 June. Sadly, that also means that console gamers will not be able to play the game on their respective consoles. First released back in 2017, Assassin’s Creed Origins serves as a sort of reboot to the franchise, both in the game’s combat mechanics and story. The game is set during the Ptolemaic period in Ancient Egypt, a time that predates the formation of the Assassins and Templars. Players are put into the shoes of Bayek, a Medjay who eventually became the founders of the “Hidden Ones”; a precursor to the Assassin’s we’ve all come to know. Bear in mind, the game’s file size is a little over 50GB, and that’s not including the game’s two expansions. On that note, it looks like the free-to-play offer only extends to the base game, and not the DLCs. (Source: Ubisoft)
