Despite the name, Bravely Default II is actually the third game in the series. And the good thing is that you don’t have to have played the other two in order to understand the story in this one, as it’s set in a different world altogether. So while the other two games in the series are still exclusive to the 3DS, you should be able to jump into this one no problem.

Sounds like the general premise is quite similar to some of the Final Fantasy entries. No surprise, since both are made by Square Enix. The company’s announcement tweet says that Bravely Default II will be available on Steam on 2 September. But Steam is kinder to audiences on the eastern side of the globe. After taking time zones into consideration, this will be 3 September for us. Since the game is not even a year old yet, it comes with a hefty, new-game price tag of RM239.
