Considering Epic Games’ recent timed exclusivity streak, you’d think that Epic Games will also announce that Rocket League will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store. Psyonix has clarified that Rocket League will continue to remain on Steam, so Rocket League fans and Steam users can breathe a sigh of relief.

On the other end of the acquisition, Psyonix will have access to Epic Games’ resources. This means more resources for Psyonix to put into Rocket League’s esports ecosystem. In effect, you’ll likely see, and hear of more tournaments around Rocket League. Rocket League is one of the few games that have been instrumental in breaking Sony’s wall blocking cross-platform play, alongside Epic Games’ Fortnite. But with Epic Games’ recent activity, there’s a chance that Rocket League will be locked out of Steam after it becomes available on the Epic Games Store. (Source: Psyonix via The Verge)
