Much like its predecessor, the SQ20 is a hybrid camera. Combining the best parts of a digital camera and the novelty that allows you to instantly print out square photos with a 1:1 aspect ratio. Regarding the digital aspect of the camera, one new feature allows users to shoot a short 15-second video. The user can then cycle through the frames in the video, and proceed to choose the best moment within it for printing.

Another feature of the SQ20 is Time Shift Collage. Basically, the feature enables the camera to capture four different images from the same subject, and compile them into  a single picture. Specs-wise, the SQ20 is fitted with a 1.5-inch CMOS sensor with a primary colour filter. The lens is a fixed 33.4mm lens (35mm equivalent) with an aperture of f/2.4 and a 4x zoom range. The camera’s shutter speed is set between a 1/7500 and 1/2 of a second. It’s ISO range is set between 100 and 1600. For the film part, the camera uses the same “Instax Square” instant film packets that measure in at 86 x 72mm, while the picture size is 62 x 62mm.

The Fujifilm Instax Square SQ20 is already available for purchase at all authorised resellers and stores, and will retail at an SRP of RM888. The camera is available in two colour schemes: ivory and black. In conjunction with the launch, Fujifilm will also be giving an “early bird” package.
