Additionally, the page also shows a listing of X499 motherboards. Clearly designed for AMD’s 2nd generation Ryzen Threadripper HEDT CPUs. As pointed out by Videocardz, one particular motherboard, named the X499 Designare EX-10G, suggests that the Threadripper motherboard could ship with on-board 10Gbe network support. Compared to Gigabyte’s long list, MSI’s X570 motherboard listing only amounts to just a couple of motherboards for AMD’s third generation Ryzen CPUs. Both X570 motherboards are part of the brand’s CREATION series, but neither actually seem to have an official name. Moreover, the listing on SiSoft shows that both motherboards were used to test a 4-cores, 8-threads AMD engineering sample that seems to be running at a clockspeed of 3.8GHz. Nothing is known about this particular CPU, but given the number of cores and threads, it is possible that the AMD could release the processor as a lower-tier Ryzen 3 CPU.
