Specs-wise, the phone uses the same Snapdragon 765G 5G SoC, but comes with 6GB LPDDR4X RAM instead of 8GB, but still retains the same 128GB internal storage capacity. Additionally, the phone also comes with the same Titan M security module, for on-device security. Moving on, the Pixel 5a’s display is a bigger 6.34-inch Full HD+ OLED display, with a punch-hole located at the top-left corner, for the same 8MP sensor inside it. The phone also has a bigger battery at 4680mAh, that can be charged via USB-C and, like its bigger brother, supports 18W fast-charging. Another feature that Google has added to this phone is an IP67 water and dust resistance rating.

In regards to the main camera, the Pixel 5a still retains the same 12MP f/1.7 main and 16MP f/2.2 ultra-wide sensors as the Pixel 5, but unlike its brother, the new phone’s camera has access to Night Sight and Astrophotography. The Pixel 5a will retail at an SRP of US$449 (~RM1902) with preorders having already started in the US and Japan. Then, as now, it is unlikely that the phone will have to see an official distribution in Malaysia, meaning that the only fans in the country that will be able to get it, is through grey imports.
