The capacity of the Pegoh facility was then expanded further to 100,000 vehicles per year when Honda officially launched the No.2 Line in 2014. Honda’s assembly plant in Pegoh, Melaka. The Pegoh plant also houses a 2.1km test track and the Malaysian centre for the Honda Research & Development Asia Pacific. Honda also noted that the manufacturing technologies at the Pegoh Plant are on par with its counterparts in Japan which includes the capability to perform Laser Brazing, Inner Frame Welding, and Spray Polyurethane Foam. At the moment, the facility assembles City, City Hatchback, Civic, Accord, BR-V, HR-V, and CR-V which includes their standard i-VTEC option as well as e:HEV/Hybrid, and VTEC Turbocharged variants.
