Aside from providing the said image, the leakster suggests that the new HONOR smartphone is expected to see a reveal sometime soon. However, actual details regarding the V40 series’ specifications such as its chipset, RAM configurations, battery and camera setup are still unknown for the time being.

— Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings) October 13, 2020 Rumours suggest that the upcoming HONOR V40 may not feature a HiSilicon Kirin processor due to shortages caused by the recent US sanctions imposed on its parent company Huawei. Somag News believes that the phone could instead feature a high-end MediaTek Dimensity processor, and may even come with 66W fast charging. The series is also rumoured to be available in three variants: a standard model, a Pro variant, and a Pro Plus. However, both the leaked teaser and the hardware speculations are unconfirmed by the company at this time, so do take it with a grain of salt. Whether or not HONOR is planning to unveil the V40 series will only be known when an official announcement is made. (Source: Mukul Sharma [Twitter] / Somag News)
