One of them is for a category where Huawei has never competed before, which is the gaming monitor category and it comes in the form of MateView GT. It carries a 34-inch ultra-wide curved VA panel with a 1500R curvature that also has a native resolution of 3400 x 1440, 165Hz refresh rate, and 90% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage. Also comes with HDR10 support and a maximum brightness level of 350 nits, the MateView GT is also equipped with its own soundbar which features a 5W dual speaker setup and an RGB light strip. There is also a far-field dual-mic system on the gaming monitor as well, that has been designed to pick up user’s voice from a distance as far as 4 meters. On another hand, there is also the standard MateView model which seems to be targeted towards content creators and professionals. Comes with a 3:2 screen, this DisplayHDR 400 monitor is equipped with an IPS panel that has 3840 x 2560 native resolution with 98% DCI-P3 coverage, 10-bit colour depth, and sub-2 Delta E value.
It also has NFC capability equipped with fast mirroring and Desktop Mode for selected Huawei or HONOR phones. The MateView can also be used as a wireless display for some MateBook models, as well as other laptops that support Miracast. Huawei will also be launching the nova 8i in Malaysia this month. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 and 8GB of RAM, the EMUI 11-based smartphone also carries a 6.67-inch full HD+ screen with a screen-to-body ratio of 94.7% and 128GB internal storage.
In terms of photography, the phone also relies on a 64MP quad camera module on its back and 16MP front camera. A 4300mAh completed its general specifications alongside with the support for 66W Huawei SuperCharge tech that allows the phone to be fully charged in just 38 minutes. Last but not least, also in the list is the FreeBuds 4 true wireless earbuds. According to Huawei, the fourth generation model has an adaptive ear-matching technology which is apparently able to detect user’s ear shape and then match it with the appropriate level of noise cancellation modes.
Alongside the support of multi-device connectivity, the FreeBuds 4 also has a battery life of up to four hours or 22 hours if you consider its charging case. Through its fast-charging feature, users can obtain up to two and a half hours of music playback with just 15 minutes of charging time. At the moment, Huawei has yet to reveal the pricing for each of these new products that will be making their way to Malaysia soon.
