As noted in our previous report, the MateView GT is essentially a 34-inch curved monitor with a curvature rating of 1500R. Equipped with a VA panel, the gaming monitor also offers a native resolution of 3400 x 1440 alongside a 165Hz refresh rate, 90% coverage of DCI-P3 colour gamut, and the support for HDR10 technology.
Another interesting characteristic that Huawei has implemented on its first-ever gaming monitor is a soundbar that has been integrated into its stand. Containing a pair of 5W speakers, the stereo soundbar also features an RGB light strip with a customisable effect on its top while the company has also equipped a 360-degrees dual-mic system into the monitor, which is apparently able to pick up sound from a distance of up to 4 meters. Normally priced at RM 2,488, pre-order customers will receive a RM 100 instant rebate alongside a Huawei Wi-Fi AX3 Dual-Core router as a freebie. Valid until 22 July 2021, gamers out there who are interested to get their hands on the new MateView GT can place their pre-orders through Huawei Malaysia’s online store right away.
