PRO GRADE CAMERA
For starters, nova 5T comes with 5 AI Cameras which are more than any other nova devices that were released in our market before. Naturally, the majority of these cameras are located on the back of the phone as shown below:
According to Huawei, the 1/2-inch 48MP sensor on nova 5T rear camera is designed to deliver professional-quality images. The same camera also works together with the 2MP depth assist camera and the Image Signal Processor (ISP) within the phone’s Kirin 980 processor to provide excellent bokeh for portrait shots. Additionally, you can also turn to the AI-powered Super Night Mode to continue receiving amazing, blur-free images in low-light conditions. If you need a dramatic wide-angle shot, the nova 5T’s 16MP f/2.2 ultra wide-angle camera is ready to handle the task while for extreme close-up images, the dedicated 2MP Super Macro Lens on nova 5T allows you to snap a subject from a distance that is as close as 4 cm.
Meanwhile, the nova 5T also features a 32MP selfie camera which comes with 4-in-1 pixel fusion technology that is designed to provide brighter and clearer selfies. Not only that, the camera is further supported by the AI processing capability within the nova 5T which helps optimize the background together with balanced exposure and backlight.
FLAGSHIP PERFORMANCE
Speaking about AI processing inside the new nova 5T, it is being powered by the dual Neural Processing Unit (NPU) within the phone’s Kirin 980 processor. For those who are no familiar with it, the Kirin 980 which also features a powerful octa-core CPU is the first 7nm mobile processor in the world and is currently Huawei’s flagship mobile processor. If you are a gamer, you would love the GPU Turbo 3.0 feature inside the nova 5T which comes standard as part of the phone’s EMUI 9.1 implementation. Through this feature, you can experience smoother gameplay at 60fps in 25 of the most popular titles in the world such as PUBG Mobile, Fortnite, Minecraft, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang without affecting their graphics quality.
You can also engage nova 5T’s Do-No Disturb Mode, so that no phone call can disrupt your gaming session. The EMUI 9.1 also brings together other advantages to the phone including faster app launch, smoother UI operation, incoming caller video, one tap to share functionality, and many more. Not to forget, the nova 5T also comes with a substantial amount of RAM at 8GB alongside 128GB UFS 2.1-based internal storage. Huawei has also stated the phone has an all-day battery life thanks to its 3750mAh battery.
Even if you use the phone until it runs out of battery, the nova 5T can gain back 50% of its battery charge in just 30 minutes through the 22.5W Huawei SuperCharge technology.
EXQUISITE DESIGN
Together with its versatile camera and high-end performance, the nova 5T has also been blessed with an attractive design that includes a 6.26-inch Full HD+ All-View display that has a screen to body ratio of 91.6%. The implementation of the small 4.5mm camera cut out on the upper left side of the screen allows for more viewing space on the phone whether you are gaming or enjoying your favourite online series.
Huawei also pointed out that nova 5T is also designed to be easily operated with just one hand which explains the existence of the side-mounted fingerprint scanner on the phone. At 174g, the phone also should be lightweight enough for most.
To top it off, the nova 5T also features an attractive bodywork that is a mixture of the reflective finish, textured surface, and dazzling colours. The phone can be obtained in Midsummer Purple which also features nova logo and pattern, as well as Crush Blue and Black.
