The speed test by Zhang was reportedly held in Wuzhen, with a resulting download speed about 746Mbps. Reports also indicate that the Mate X supports non-standalone (NSA) and standalone (SA) 5G modes.
At this stage, it’s likely that the phone in question is in its latest iteration. Originally announced to be available in June, the company pushed the release of the Mate X back to September, only to push the release back again to before November. The delayed release does mean that the Huawei Mate X will come with a Kirin 990 chipset. It will also sport slightly better protection for its outward folding display.
