The benchmarks were found by the well-known leakster, @momomo_us, on their Twitter account. According to them, Tte Core i9-10920X, which is based on a 14nm+++ die lithography, uses a 12-cores, 24-threads layout, and will have a base and boost clock of 3.5GHz and 3.8GHz respectively. In terms of performance, the alleged Extreme CPU garnered a score of 5339 for its single-core performance and a rather impressive 44046 points on the multi-core tests. Additionally, the system used to test the CPU was a Dell Precision 5820 Tower-X desktop, along with 13GB of DDR4 RAM running at 1056MHz.

On that note, the brand reportedly has four motherboard models already on standby for the new processors: the X299X AORUS Master, X299X AORUS Xtreme Waterforce, X299X Designare EX, and X299X Designare EX-10G. It’s clear that with its Cascade Lake-X Extreme Core series, Intel is preparing to go toe-to-toe with AMD’s upcoming 3rd generation Ryzen Threadripper HEDT CPUs. However, this could be a very steep uphill battle for Intel, especially since its competitor has a lead on it with its 24-cores, 48-threads and 32-cores, 64-threads processors, respectively.
