Integrated within these new processors is the Intel Iris Plus graphics engine that is based on the company’s 11th generation graphics architecture. Intel claims that it will be possible to play a lot of today’s games in 1080p through the new Iris Plus graphics, with twice the framerate as before.
The 10th Gen Core chips are also apparently Intel’s first batch of processors designed with AI performance in mind. Touting the Intel Deep Learning Boost, the company has implemented Gaussian Neural Accelerator into these chips to handle AI tasks. Just like previous generation of Core mobile processors, the 10th Gen chips are divided into two series: the 9W Y-series and 15W U-series models. Even though Intel stated that there will be 11 different chips under the 10th Gen umbrella from Core i3 to Core i7, the company didn’t release the full specifications of these chips or even their actual model name. Nevertheless, the 10th Gen Intel Core processors are already being shipped to Intel’s brand partners, and we can expect to see systems equipped with it by the end of 2019.
