Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said in a TF International Securities research note that Apple has iPad Pro models equipped with 3D sensors lined up to be announced in the first half of 2020. The 3D sensor system in question involves the rear cameras, and is expected to use a time-of-flight (ToF) system. The tablet is also expected to come with two rear cameras instead of the usual one.
In the note, Kuo also says that the iPhone SE 2 will be released in around the same time. Though nothing much is new regarding the iPhone. Previously it was thought to be scheduled for announcement between March and June 2020. Now, the announcement window has been adjusted to the first half of the year. We’re also still looking iPhone 8-esque size and specs, with some modern touches like an A13 chipset and 3GB of RAM. Apple has quite the plan for stepping into the world of AR. But it looks like we’ll only be seeing the efforts by the company next year, at its earliest. And even then, we should take all this with a grain of salt, until Apple makes an official announcement regarding its iPad Pro models with 3D sensors. (Source: MacRumors)
