ZDNet reports that Panos Panay, Chief Product Officer of Microsoft, said the company won’t be releasing the Surface Neo this year. The company will also not be enabling Windows 10X for dual-screen devices by other companies either. But it looks like since its initial announcement, the company had started getting Windows 10X to work on single-screen devices.
On that front, Microsoft is still hoping to deliver some of the features of Windows 10X earlier. These include the ability to make Windows applications available virtually using containers, among others. This is so that the features can be ported to the standard Windows 10 OS as well, rather than being Windows 10X- exclusive features. On the other hand, it looks like the Microsoft Surface Duo that runs on Android will still be on schedule. Like the Surface Neo, the Surface Duo also had an initially expected launch window of holiday 2020. (Source: ZDNet)
