Previously, serial leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks) shared that the new phones for 2019 will come with a “punch hole” for the front-facing camera. This is similar to the Infinity-O display revealed during the Samsung Developer Conference. Conveniently enough, the designs seen in the new patent filing reflect this.

The patent also shows multiple design of the phone itself in addition to the Inifinity-O implementation. Some have have rounded edges, while others bring the curved edge on the side of current generation phones to the top and bottom as well.

But there’s no mention of size, so there’s nothing to substantiate the previous claim by TF International Securities Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo about the S10 having three different sizes. The patent was reported to have only images, so there’s also no text to confirm if this will indeed be the final design of the Samsung Galaxy S10, or anything else regarding the phone. And despite the similarities, it’s still ultimately a patent filing, and we’re very hesitant to say for certain that this is what Samsung’s next flagship will look like.
