A video posted on the official Twitter account of the US Army’s 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team or Lancer Brigade (@lancer_brigade), shows a demonstration of its new Enhanced Night Vision Goggle-Binoculars (ENVG-B) in action and it is nothing short of eye-watering.

Enhanced Night Vision Goggle-Binoculars continue the @USArmy’s effort to #modernize our fighting force! You have never seen night vision like this! #readynow #QuietProfessionals pic.twitter.com/3TCPtnno1r — Lancer Brigade (@lancer_brigade) April 22, 2021 Instead of the typical green or greyscale scenarios that are usually associated with the accessory, the ENVG-B produces neon outlines of other soldiers, along with the outline of their uniforms. As Hot Hardware puts it, it’s like something out of a retro, neon-themed music video or a video game. On top of that, the ENVG-B also provides the outlines of the soldier’s surrounding area – the trees, ground, and even tracks made by other soldiers and vehicles – all in that bright neon glory. That said, the Lancer Brigade assured its followers that the ENVG-B does have multiple settings that allows its soldiers to view the battlefield in other modes, and not just in a neon dream.
