To recap, the Nothing ear (1) are stemmed earbuds that feature a mostly translucent plastic body that shows off its interior hardware – a design language which the company aims to apply to its future products. It is equipped with 11.6mm graphene-based dynamic drivers tuned by Swedish audio brand Teenage Engineering, and comes with a total of six high-definition microphones (three on each side) for voice calls and ANC (active noise cancelling) capabilities.
On each stem are touch panels that enable the user to control audio playback, answer calls, and switch between the three onboard ANC modes. Other than that, the Nothing ear (1) features In-Ear Detection, Fast Pairing, simultaneous multi-device support, and comes with an IPX4 rating in terms of water and dust resistance. Nothing claims that its earbuds are capable of lasting up to 5.7 hours of listening time on a single charge, and up to 34 hours with the included charging case. Additionally, users can quickly gain around 1.2 hours of playback with just 10-minutes of charging via the case. The Nothing ear (1) also comes with wireless charging capability and is compatible with Qi-based wireless chargers.
The new earbuds will arrive in Malaysia this Saturday on 16 October at a recommended retail price of RM499.
