Internally, the Nubia Play 5G runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC, between 6GB or 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, and a hefty 5100mAh battery that also supports 30W fast-charging via USB-C. For storage, users have a choice between 128GB and 256GB of expandable storage. The display of the Nubia Play 5G is 6.65-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of 144Hz and 240Hz touch response rate.

Moving on to the camera, the Nubia Play 5G’s main camera module is made of four sensors: a 48MP Sony IMX582 main shooter, an 8MP wide-angle, a 2MP Super Macro, and a 2MP depth sensor. Around the front, the phone’s houses a 12MP selfie camera. One thing to note is that the Nubia Play 5G doesn’t have a notch or punch-hole; instead, the brand has opted for the more traditional thin bezel. In keeping with the brand’s gaming theme, the Nubia Play 5G also features the same pressure-sensitive sensors on its side. Designed to make mobile shooter titles such as Call of Duty: Mobile and PUBG more engaging and, naturally, easier to play on than other mobile devices without the need for accessories.

The Nubia Play 5G is expected to go on sale in China first from 24 April onwards. Price-wise the phone starts from 2399 Yuan (~RM1477) for the 6GB+128GB model, 2699 Yuan (~RM1662) for 8GB+128GB, and 2999 Yuan (~RM1849) for 8GB+256GB.
