The official renders were leaked on Twitter by Germany-based serial leakster Roland Quandt (@rquandt), who also leaked in his affiliated site, WinFuture, along with a ton of alleged hardware details. For start, the OnePlus 8 Pro will have a 6.78-inch QHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The renders also confirm that the phone will ditch the motorised pop-up selfie camera – used in the OnePlus 7 Pro – in favour of a punch-hole at the top corner of the display.

— Roland Quandt (@rquandt) April 1, 2020 WinFuture also seems to confirm that the OnePlus 8 Pro will be running with Qualcomm’s high-end Snapdragon 865 SoC, meaning that the non-Pro variant of the phone will also be running on the same chipset. Additionally, the phone will also be fitted with a Snapdragon X55 5G modem, and between 8GB and 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The most interesting revelation of the OnePlus 8 Pro, though, is its main camera. From the looks of it, the phone uses a quad-camera setup comprising two 48MP sensors. With sensor being a Sony IMX689 and the other an IMX586. The other two sensors include an 8MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom, and a 5MP “colour sensor”. The latter seems to have gotten lost in translation, literally – Google translates the site directly from German to English – but we’re guessing it’s a reference to an RGB sensor. The only thing missing from the leak is global SRP and availability. Guess we’ll just have to wait until 15 April to find out. (Source: Roland Quandt via Twitter, WinFuture)
