To get things rolling, the Reno7 and Reno7 Pro received their first roadshow outing at Sunway Pyramid for the past two days. Aside from the roadshow, pre-order customers were also given the option to collect their brand-new devices at OPPO Brand Stores, My OPPO Space, telco partners, and authorised retailers throughout Malaysia.
There is a good reason for the pre-order customers to be among the first to pick up the device right at the Sunway Pyramid roadshow or other collection points all over Malaysia. Not only that they were able to get enjoy the Reno7 and Reno7 Pro immediately, but they were also rewarded with the OPPO Watch Free which is also new to the Malaysian market. That was on top of the standard pre-order gifts which covers a free pair of Enco Buds, a Reno Bag, and a 1-year screen damage protection. Furthermore, they were also entitled to additional privileges from partners such as Carlo Rino, ReNew+, VIU, Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park, Malaysia Airlines, Plaza Premium Lounge, Celebrity Fitness, and many more which were redeemable through the My OPPO app.
In addition to allowing the public to have some hands-on experience with the new Reno7 Series device, the Sunway Pyramid roadshow also offers some fun activities for all visitors. OPPO ambassadors Hannah Delisha and Han Xiiao Aii also made an appearance at the roadshow which include a portrait photoshoot session with fans. For those who have missed the news, the Reno7 Pro is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1200-MAX octa-core processor alongside 12GB of LPDDR4x-2133 RAM and 256GB UFS3.1 internal storage as standard. The new phone is also equipped with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display that has a 90Hz refresh rate, and a maximum brightness level of 920nits together with support for HDR10+ contents.
When it comes to photography, the Reno7 Pro features two camera sensors that were the result of collaboration between OPPO and Sony in the form of 50MP IMX766 for the phone’s main camera as well as the 32MP IMX709 in its selfie camera. The phone’s rear camera module which has a rather unique LED lighting surrounding also has an 8MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP macro camera, and dedicated colour temperature sensor. Completing Reno7 Pro’s general specifications is a pair of batteries that provides a total battery capacity of 4500mAh for the phone. Not to forget, OPPO also claimed that the phone only needs around 31 minutes of charging time to achieve 100% battery capacity when charged using the 65W SuperVOOC charger.
On the other hand, the standard Reno7 which runs on MediaTek Dimensity 900 carries a 6.4-inch Full HD+ LTPS AMOLED that also has a 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support but with a slightly lower limit when it comes to maximum brightness at 800nits. It also has curved body edges as opposed to the flat edges that OPPO has opted for the Pro model. While the non-Pro model continues to offer a 32MP selfie camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera, and 2MP macro camera, its main camera features a 64MP sensor instead. Just like the Pro model, the standard Reno7 variant also features a 4500mAh battery and the support for a 65W SuperVOOC charger.
