For those who are unaware, AirPlay is a feature that allows Apple devices to wirelessly stream music or cast videos to compatible devices. Recently, Apple has announced that AirPlay 2 support will be made available to select smart TVs from major manufacturers such as Samsung, Sony, and LG. Judging from the official statement that Netflix has released to The Verge, it seems that the support for third-party devices is exactly the reason why the company decided to pull out the plug on AirPlay support....

This comes after proposed amendments to the Sales Tax Act 2018 to tax LVG sales through the Sales Tax (Amendment) Bill 2022. Under the bill, a new Section 11A will be created – defining such products as “any prescribed goods or class of goods outside Malaysia which are sold and bought in [the country].” The aim of the tax is to equal tax treatment for locally manufactured and imported LVG products, with an expected flat rate of 10% to be charged to both local and foreign sellers....

Not much has been revealed regarding the collaboration and the company simply noted that the collection will be “coming soon.” However, an early look at two watches from the forthcoming release have been shared online ahead of their official reveal, thanks to two Malaysian-based stores on Instagram. These are the Optimus Prime and Megatron inspired timepieces, which are based on the G-Shock GA-110 and DW-5600 models respectively. According to the images shared by both stores, the Optimus Prime G-Shock watch (model name: GA-110OPT22-7PFT) features a white body with red and blue accents, where the latter two most fans will immediately recognise as the Autobot commander’s iconic colour scheme....

The colour sampling technology in the Apple Pencil would be equipped with several photodetectors that are able to measure light for different colour channels. The patent filing describes the sensor itself would be located at the tip of the stylus, and could also be equipped with a light to make it easier for it to accurately determine a colour. Much like the Eyedrop Tool commonly found in most photo editing software, this technology would allow the Pencil to sample a colour of an object by simply tapping onto it....

According to a statement to Eurogamer, the leaker was a reviewer with Portuguese site FNintendo. The statement says that leaks were a breach of the confidentiality agreement between the site and Nintendo. And as a result, Nintendo has announced that it will no longer be working with the outlet. Though, the statement makes no mention of any legal action by Nintendo against FNintendo. Eurogamer also reports that FNintendo has posted its own apology, and implies that it has fired the reviewer in question....

But first off, the main Nintendo Switch comes in the usual black colouring, but the back comes with some extra textures that will be familiar to those who are fans of the Animal Crossing series. The two accompanying Joy-Cons also come with two different pastel colours. It also comes with a special dock, with the colours of the Joy-Cons and prints of what looks like Tom Nook, Timmy and Tommy....

With version 10, users can now move software between the Switch’s internal storage and an SD card. This is a much welcomed feature as previously users are required to redownload the whole software into the desired storage location. According to the change log, the feature allows transfer for downloadable software, update data and DLC, but still excludes game saves. Another handy addition in this new update is the ability to remap the console’s JoyCon controller buttons....

According to the satellite TV company, non-Astro subscribers are able to watch Game of Thrones through its online on-demand service, NJOI Now by purchasing the HBO Game of Thrones Pass. Through this pass, they will be able to view the upcoming season 8 of Game of Thrones but also the series’ entire catalog. Additionally, the pass also provides on-demand access to other HBO series as well as movies within HBO’s collection....

NVIDIA says that its second quarter revenue was approximately US$6.7 billion (~RM29.85 billion), a 19% decrease from its originally US$8.10 billion (~RM36.09 billion), but still a 3% improvement over the prior year. On that note, the company reported its gaming revenue at US$2.04 billion (~RM9.09 billion), down 44% sequentially, and 33% from the last year. The reason behind the nearly 50% drop in gaming revenue, according to NVIDIA, can be attributed to the lower sales of gaming products, which in turn can be attributed to the market entering the post-COVID stage....

According to Reuters, the cut-down NVIDIA A100, also known as the A800, serves as an “alternative product” to the original A100 GPU and meets the US government’s test for reduced export control. To that end, the GPU cannot be programmed to exceed the limitations placed on it. While not an ideal alternative, not doing anything to keep the supply chain moving would cost NVIDIA hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue....

According to sources close to Videocardz, NVIDIA is supposedly planning on making an RTX 2060 with as much as 12GB of GDDR6 memory, which is just as much as the non-Ti version of the Ampere-based RTX 3060. The card, goes by the model number PG161 and uses the same TU106-300 GPU as the original RTX 2060, save for the “KX” name at the end of the GPU ID. First announced during CES 2019, the RTX 2060 has long been considered an entry-level GeForce card for the Turing GPU range....

As shown via a demonstration video, Instant NeRF is able to generate a 3D model and surrounding environment based on only four photos which feature different angles of a subject. The company notes that the images must be taken without too much motion, otherwise the result would be blurry. Despite the limited angles provided, the system is able to “fill in the gaps” of the 3D scene by interpolating what wasn’t captured in the photos....

But that doesn’t appear to be the case with the OP 11, with respect to the latter point. If you’re jumping ship from the OnePlus 10 Pro or 10T, the difference between the last generation models and this one has practically been kept to a minimum. What I mean by that is this: as for as aesthetics go, the only thing that has been tweaked is the design of the main camera module’s housing....

For the uninitiated, Oppo announced last year that it was merging with OnePlus and through it, would unify both its mobile operating systems under a new “Unified OS”. That promise of unification was short-lived, though, as earlier in March this year, it was OnePlus that announced that the plan to create a common software had been halted and axed altogether. In its place, Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus, said in an official post that OxygenOS will remain independent from Oppo’s ColorOS, but did specify that both Android skins will continue to use a “unified codebase”....

The Chinese smartphone maker began posting details about the technology via its official Twitter account. These tweets come in form of slides, with one specific slide briefly explaining how the technology works. It says that the technology uses a combination of a wide-angle lens, an ultra-clear main camera, and a telephoto lens combo. Both the latter two lenses are equipped with OIS. Technically allowing them to take clearer pictures while zoomed in, minus the dreaded blur effect that usually accompanies such shots....
