Imported LVG with a total value of less than RM500 per consignment had been exempted from sales tax up until this point. Under the new law, all goods from overseas will be subjected to a sales tax with a flat rate of 10% [pdf]. Even though the new law is already in place right now, the government will only begin to collect the tax starting from 1 April 2023. At the moment, Customs will be focusing on getting sellers registered on its MyLVG system....

The 12GB capacity chip was made by combining six 16Gbps LPDDR4X chips – which are based on the second-generation 10nm (1y-nm) manufacturing process – into one. It also measures 1.1mm thin; allowing manufacturers to keep phones thin while still packing a lot of RAM. In case you missed the news, it was recently discovered that there is a flaw within the fingerprint scanner on these devices which allows them to be unlocked by anyone when a third party screen cover is applied. The fingerprint scanner flaw has caused a number of banks in the US and South Korea to disable their app on the Galaxy S10 devices. This didn’t come as shocking though since this flaw can be considered as a major security issue due to risks of unauthorized transactions....

Since the onboard processor is the only new addition, let’s start with that. Powering the Galaxy A52s 5G is a mid-range 5G-enabled Snapdragon 778G, which is considerably faster than the Snapdragon 750G of the original and comes with the new Adreno 642L graphics accelerator as well. Listed on SIRIM’s database a few weeks ago, the Galaxy M series was first announced in India with the unveiling of Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M10. Specs-wise, the Samsung Galaxy M20 features an Exynos 7904 SoC, a 6.3-inch Full HD+ Infinity V display, and only one memory and storage configuration of the phone will be brought into the country, and that is the 4GB/64GB variant. The Galaxy M20 also comes with a dedicated microSD card slot, for expandable storage up to 512GB. For security, the Galaxy M20 features a fingerprint scanner installed into the back of the phone....

Specifically, the Malaysian variant of the Galaxy S20 Ultra only able to support sub-6 5G network according to the Malaysia-specific specs sheet that we’ve received earlier this week. According to The Elec, Samsung will only launch the Galaxy Z Flip 2 after the first quarter of 2021. The Korean tech giant believes there is overlapping demand between the new foldable series and the entrenched flagship line. Assuming that is the case, spacing them out will prevent the two lines of devices from competing with each other. One UI 3.0 is said to offer more convenience by offering new features such as the Quick Panel interface and an improved Notification panel.
