An earlier leak suggests that Apple may unveil a new iPad mini in Spring 2021 that would spearhead the company’s new yet drastic design direction. As previously reported in January, the new model would feature a dual punch-hole design to separately house its in-display camera and Home button with Touch ID functionality – a first for any Apple product. While the initial rumour believes that this particular model is the iPad mini 6, a separate leak earlier this month suggests that this may be known as the iPad mini Pro instead....

The 2020 iPad Pro looks somewhat similar to last year’s model, but that’s where the similarities end. Both sizes are equipped with Liquid Retina displays with True Tone, high brightness, and an anti-reflective coating. Additionally, the screen also features ProMotion technology that automatically adjusts the display refresh rate up to 120Hz for smooth and responsive visuals. Under the hood, the Apple tablet features a A12Z Bionic Chip packed with eight cores in its CPU and GPU, with the addition of the company’s Neural Engine technology....

While the site itself seems to be holding on very well but many customers are not able to complete their activation request, as noted by the error notification shown in our screenshots. Naturally, customers are being asked to try again at a later time. Alternatively, they can also leave their contacts to Astro and the company will send an SMS once things have settled down. We have reached out to Astro’s representative to find out about the expected turnaround time for this request and the company has advised its customers to check back in a few hours....

For example, ASUS Malaysia now no longer offers the non-OC version of its ROG Strix and Dual GeForce RTX 2060 cards. At the same time, the OC variant of both cards is now RM 100 less than their launch prices although the company’s Turbo GeForce RTX 2060 which remained the cheapest RTX 2060 in ASUS Malaysia’s lineup didn’t receive any price changes. In summary, here are the current line up of ASUS GeForce RTX 2060 graphics cards in Malaysia: ASUS Turbo GeForce RTX 2060: RM 1749 ASUS Dual RTX 2060 OC Edition: RM 2059 (previously RM 2159) ASUS ROG Strix RTX 2060 OC Edition: RM 2268 (previously RM 2380) Consumers are able to obtain these cards from their favorite retailers throughout Malaysia right away....

According to ASUS’ new product guide, it looks like the brand will be staggering the availability of each ROG and ROG Strix notebook variants over the month of June. For a start, the ROG Strix G and all its SKUs will be brought in sometime during the middle of June. Pricing for the notebook will start at RM3499 for baseline SKU, while the top-of-the-line SKU will retail for RM5799 upon availability....

As XDA reports, the ASUS Zenfone 9 will sport the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen1 chipset that the ROG Phone 6 has. So nothing to worry about on the performance side of things. As for the display, it will be sporting a more modest 5.9-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering everything is a 4300mAh battery. The main camera is a 50MP Sony IMX766 shooter, though no details on what the other camera is on the back, nor what sits in the screen’s punch hole cutout on the top left corner....

The President and CEO of Axiata Group, Jamaludin Ibrahim has stated the ban has no impact on the company just yet in terms of supply, upgrades, or rollouts from Huawei. In fact, Huawei has apparently informed Axiata that it has one year supply of parts, products, and equipment to serve the company. Huawei has a long-standing relationship with the Kuala Lumpur-based regional conglomerate in both retail segment for the telcos under Axiata’s arm such as Celcom; as well as its role as one of the group’s main equipment provider....

According to Changpeng Zhao, CEO of Binance, the hackers initiated the theft when the hackers discovered an exploit on the cross-chain bridge within the BSC Token Hub, which is used for transactions between the BNB Beacon Chain and its self-titled Smart Chain. Soon after the hack, Binance took to Twitter to announce the breach and even confirmed via Reddit that the actual amount stolen ranged between US$100 million and US$110 million (~RM510 million)....

This is great news as it looks like Margot Robbie, who’s the lead actor and producer of Birds of Prey, previously told SlashFilm that when she pitched the film, she had an R-rating in mind. Birds of Prey is directed by Cathy Yan and stars Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, alongside Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary and Ewan McGregor as Black Mask. The first free PlayStation Plus game for August – that you can already download – is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2: Campaign Remastered. As the name implies, it’s the remaster of the 2009 game’s singleplayer campaign. And from the company’s report on the malware, it’s not a particularly sophisticated one either. In fact, this Call of Duty: Warzone “cheat” relies on the willingness of the victim to let it into their system. As is the case with most “genuine” cheats, the malware asks the cheater to either disable or uninstall any existing firewalls, and any other system safeguards. And desperate enough cheaters do this willingly, welcoming the malware in....

Or maybe not, according to an interview with From Software’s Hidetaka Miyazaki with Famitsu, translated by Frontline Gaming Japan. In the interview, the game director says that Elden Ring will be about as difficult as Dark Souls 3. But it will allow for a lot more versatility. Where in the Dark Souls series each weapon had their own skills, you can change them around in Elden Ring. He also said that stealth will have much better viability....

Like the US’ list, China’s “unreliable entity list” will have foreign entities that the country thinks will undermine the interests of local companies. Among the names being considered to be added to the list include Apple, Qualcomm, Cisco and even Boeing. These are companies that are reliant on the Chinese market, in one way or another. It also looks like companies on China’s unreliable entity list will be subject to far more than just trade restrictions....

The card in question is reportedly still in development, but there is some information over its projected specification. Firstly, the card will officially be known as the Jingjia JM9271, and that it will be based on a 28nm die lithography. The two Chinese GPU companies in question are Innosilicon and Changsha Jingjia Microelectronics, and both of them are reportedly aiming at getting out their own GPUs to market by this year, at the earliest. According to multiple sources, the two manufacturers wish to offer consumers not just 5nm GPU design, but 7nm designs as well. In Innosilicon’s case, its first card, the Fantasy One, is reportedly set to offer a dual-GPU design, featuring a total of 32GB of GDDR6X graphics memory....
