By work, what Google meant is that users can edit their Word files through Google Docs’ Android app natively without using the Office Compatibility Mode. They can also edit Excel and PowerPoint files through the Sheets and Slides apps, respectively. They can also continue to comment and collaborate on their Office files without the need to convert them to Docs, Sheets, or Slides format first. Google has noted that this ability will be turned on by default to all users....
Interesting enough, Malaysia’s name was actually mentioned inside the announcement. According to the company’s Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, Luca Maestri, Apple has managed to achieved an all-time revenue record in Malaysia during the quarter. This sounds like a repeat of last year’s announcement in which Apple has stated that its revenue in Malaysia has grown by “double digits” rate. However, the actual statistics for both quarters were not revealed by Apple....
Twitter user @onlyfanobtainer posted a shot of an iPhone asking the person holding it to return to a location where it’s presumably from. In addition to that, it also says onscreen that the device has been disabled and is being tracked. According to a note from a Goldman Sachs analyst to his clients, there is a possibility that the on-going trade war between the US and China could potentially result in the latter imposing its own set of tariffs on the fruit company. Worse still, it could just outright ban the brand’s products from the mainland. Should it come to that, it’s likely that Apple will lose approximately 30% of its total net income....
According to Nikkei, TSMC is in the trial production phase of making micro OLED displays for the Apple Glass. And it will take several years to get to mass production. The company is even using its existing chip-making equipment for the process. You might be wondering, why is Apple working with a chip maker rather than a glass maker like Corning for this? Sources say that this is because these micro OLED displays are extremely small – less than one inch in fact....
Specifically, the court alleges that some owners of the two aforementioned systems had reported consistent problems with “dark smudges on their screens”. An issue that seemed to be consistent with iMac displays lacking a dust filter. To add insult to injury, when iMac owners reached out to Apple over the issue, the company simply refused to acknowledge the problem as a defect on their part. Instead, the brand simply told the affected owners that they would have to pay upwards of US$500 (~RM2092) in order to get the display “fixed”....
It’s said that the tech giant has been working on the feature since its US$100 million (~RM418 million) acquisition of Mobeewave in 2020, a firm that develops contactless payment technology for smartphones. Specifically, the Tap to Pay function works by using the phone’s near-field communication (NFC) chip, allowing users to receive payments from Apple Pay, debit and credit cards, and other e-wallets. Stripe will be the first platform to offer Tap to Pay on the Shopify Point of Sale app this spring, with more platforms set to adopt it later in the year....

Firstly, iTunes is officially dead. In its place, and as per earlier reports, the archaic program has now been replaced with three new apps; Apple Music, Apple Podcast, and Apple TV. The overall design of the Apple Music app is clean, and like Spotify, it even has a sidebar that displays different categories, such as your personal library, playlists you’ve created. Even music that the app curates for you based on your taste in music....

Kuo notes that an Apple Silicon 13.3-inch MacBook Pro will go into mass production in the final quarter of 2020. At the same time, he strongly believes that a new ARM-based MacBook Air is also expected to be introduced alongside the Pro, or at least in the first quarter of next year. As it is now, VoIP features on such apps can run in the background when not in use, allowing them to connect calls faster. According to The Information, messaging apps like WhatsApp also use VoIP in other ways. One of this is implementing end-to-end encryption. But because they run in the background, this also allows them to do other things like collect data. In the future, Apple will only allow background access to be used for VoIP calls, and nothing else....
Digiday reports that Apple is looking to sell video ad inventory starting early 2023, citing media agency insiders that had talks with the fruit company. The report also claims that Todd Teresi, VP of Ad Platforms at Apple, has also been meeting with network execs to discuss selling ad time on Apple TV. If you’re unfamiliar with the Chronicles games, they are 2.5D entries into the series of games. While the characters themselves are in 3D, the games play in the old 2D plane, making them quite different from the mainline titles. Naturally, with games that are played differently also comes different rules to them. As for the games themselves, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China, India and Russia games take you through side stories of the series, which involve the Ming Dynasty, the Sikh Empire, and the October Revolution, respectively....
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla takes us then, to another end of the hyperbole, giving us yet another look at the internal affairs and subterfuge of the Isu, but from a Viking’s perspective. Admittedly, this review comes late, but in the time I’ve played the game since receiving it, I believe I am now able to be a little more liberal with the details than had I published it a couple months prior....
To recap, the Radeon RX 590 graphics card first made its debut almost a month ago. The card’s Polaris 30 GPU is essentially a third refresh of the original Polaris GPU that launched back 2016. According to ASUS, the ROG Phone 5 with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage will be made available in Malaysia this coming April for RM 2,999. Interesting enough, the company will not be offering the 12GB/256 variant in our market but goes straight to the 16GB/256GB setup which can be obtained in the same month for RM 3,799. Meanwhile, those who are aiming for the ROG Phone 5 Pro which comes with a 16GB/512GB setup can obtain it in May for RM 4,499....
