According to a post on ROG Malaysia’s official Facebook page, the launch will take place virtually on 8 October. Based on the image that was included in the post, it seems that ASUS will be releasing both the standard and Pro variants of the ROG Phone 5s in Malaysia. In terms of physical design, the ROG Phone 5s and ROG Phone 5s are no different from their predecessor. The main difference between them is the fact that the S variants are equipped with a slightly more powerful chip in the form of Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus....

Said to be the most compact ZenBook that the company has ever conceived, the new models are around 12 to 14-percent smaller than their predecessors. At the same time, all three models also feature displays with ultra slim bezels. They are also equipped with ErgoLift Hinge which would tilt their keyboard into a more comfortable typing position for users when the laptops’ lid is opened. ASUS has also stated that this feature helps provide better cooling and improved audio output from the speakers....

Bad Boys For Life hits Malaysian cinemas this week. The company earlier today has announced that it has received the rights from BlackBerry to plan, develop and release brand-new BlackBerry devices. OnwardMobility is targeting to release the first model within the first half of 2021. Not much information was revealed about the new phone in today’s announcement. However, OnwardMobility did say that the new BlackBerry phone will come with a physical keyboard and supports 5G network. In the same announcement, the company also revealed that these new BlackBerry phones will be designed and manufactured by FIH Mobile....

As a refresher, the Canon EOS R5 C is equipped with the same full-frame 45MP sensor as the base model. Along with it is the company’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF II system and Digic X image processor. Chinese news outlet Sina reports that the country may come up with its own blacklist of sorts. And from the sound of it, it’s something that’s completely retaliatory in nature. Gao Feng, a spokesperson of the country’s commerce ministry, said that entities that will be on the list are essentially the ones that decided to not do business with Chinese companies. That said, it is unclear what will happen exactly when a company gets put on China’s blacklist....

According to a report by the Nikkei Asian Review, the move comes as a response to the US’ sanctions extension on Huawei and Taiwan-based TSMC stating that it will not receive anymore orders from the Chinese smartphone and telecommunications brand. However, TSMC says that it will honour its production quota and the contract made with Huawei prior to the ban extension, which should arrive in the company’s hand sometime before the middle of September....

The commercial space industry’s reliance on 3D printing isn’t entirely new, as companies such as SpaceX, Rocket Lab, Relative Space, Skyrora, and Orbex are also developing the technology to produce rockets. SpaceTai claims that it can manufacture its current generation rocket engine, known as the Xiaoyi, in 30 days. Its rocket fuselages, on the other hand, are produced via a separate specialised first-party 3D printer that is currently in development....

To take it a step further, an online petition has gone viral, amassing close to 200 000 signatures (as of this writing) and counting. The petition urges showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss to remake the final six episodes, many of which have been completely polarising. It reads: I have to ask: What has become of geek culture? Are we so elitist to think that just because we don’t connect with a particular piece of art, we can petition to erase it from existence?...

According to the users via a series of tweets, Clubhouse prompted “Backchannel enabled” during their respective sessions, and introduced a new “Start a room” button at the bottom of the screen. However, it appears that the feature itself is incomplete, as tapping it displays an empty page – with the only functional interaction being the back button. Backchannel was removed from the app minutes after it appeared unexpectedly. While it is speculated that the new feature is the app’s own text-based messaging feature, there’s no actual evidence that supports this claim....

The app’s developers claimed that the aforementioned user has now been “permanently banned”, and that new “safeguards” has been newly installed in order to prevent a potential repeat incident. In its final report to the US president and Congress, the commission said the US and its allies should resist international attempts to ban AI-powered autonomous weapons systems. It defended the use of these systems, saying they’re necessary in a world where humans won’t be able to respond to threats fast enough without help. Predictably, some quarters were very disturbed by the report. Professor Noel Sharkey, a spokesperson for the Campaign To Stop Killer Robots, called it a “shocking and frightening report that could lead to the proliferation of AI weapons making decisions about who to kill....

After several delays, phase 1 of the Putrajaya line is set to open to the public today at 3 PM, consisting of 12 stations. The line’s stations are Kwasa Damansara, Kampung Selamat, Sungai Buloh, Damansara Damai, Sri Damansara Barat, Sri Damansara Sentral, Sri Damansara Timur, Metro Prima, Kepong Baru, Jinjang, Sri Delima, and Kampung Batu. Traditionally, Computex is always held in the month of June, but due to the outbreak of COVID-19, the two governing bodies made the initial decision to push the event back to September this year. Sadly, given the still rising numbers of infected and deaths, both TAITRA and TCA made the call to simply postpone the event and reschedule it all together for next year. To make up for the event’s absence, TAITRA is planning on scheduling a series online events for consumers to log into....

The game’s Twitter account shared a pretty lengthy post detailing the decision. But ultimately, all it really says is that Crysis Remastered will get delayed by a few weeks. Apparently, the minimum requirements to run the game starts with either an Intel Core i5-3450 or AMD Ryzen 3 CPU, 8GB RAM, and either an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 470. Moving up the ladder, the recommended requirements seem to insist on a system running a Core i5-7600K or AMD Ryzen 5, or higher, 12GB RAM, and either an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti or AMD Radeon Vega56 GPU....

GamesBeat reports that sources familiar with the Dead Space remake’s development claim the title will launch in fall of 2022. As with these seasonal windows, this means some time between late September and late December. On a similar note, EA intends to release the game during its 2023 fiscal year. Either way, this means that the game is still over a year away. All that is assuming that development of the Dead Space remake goes smoothly and according to plan....
