A special emoji that was adapted from the 2020/2021 Merdeka Day and Malaysia Day logo will then appear next to these hashtags. While there wasn’t a physical unit shown during the brand’s keynote, George Zhao, President of HONOR, did lay down some of the hardware that will be present with HONOR Vision. Much like the more recent report regarding the function on next-gen iPhones, it is said that the Mate 50’s satellite communications is intended for emergency use as well. Similarly, this enables the phone to send distress messages via SMS, independent of a cellular service connection. The tipster claims that this feature is supported by China’s Beidou satellite system, which offers navigation and emergency SMS services. Beidou first launched in the country back in 2015 and eventually expanded its services across the globe last year, which places it alongside other satellite-based navigation systems such as the United States’ GPS, Russia’s GLONASS, and Europe’s Galileo....

In addition to that, the MatePad Paper is not exactly a full-fledge tablet even though it runs on HarmonyOS as per recent MatePad models. While the tablet does have access to Huawei AppGallery but it is only able to support certain apps. So, what exactly the MatePad Paper is designed for? Well, note-taking and drawing are definitely some of the tasks that it can tackle given the fact that the tablet supports the second-generation Huawei M-Pencil stylus....

As mentioned in our previous report, the Huawei Watch GT 3 Series can be obtained in two case sizes including the 46mm version which also carries a 1.43-inch AMOLED display and has a battery life of up to 14 days. On another hand, there is also the 42mm version that features a 1.32-inch screen and 7 days of battery life. Outside of these differences, both variants generally have the same features which include more than 100 sports modes, a dual-band global navigation satellite system, and a water-resistant rating of 5ATM....

Aside from that, the new Illegear Arté also carries a 14-inch IPS display that has native resolution WQXGA (2560 x 1600) as well as a 90Hz refresh rate and maximum brightness level of 400nits. In terms of firepower, customers can choose either Intel Core i5-11300H or Core i7-11370H which came from the 11th Gen Intel Core H35 family of processors. When it comes to graphics, the Arté relies on the Intel Iris Xe GPU that has been integrated into both processors....

The folder, titled “Intel exconfidential Lake Platform Release” was picked up by a Swiss IT consultant by the name of Till Kottmann. Kottmann said that he discovered the folder being passed around through a file sharing service, with the person sharing it saying that the folder contained a sizable chunk of Intel’s inner workings and plans. Tom’s Hardware has already verified that the folder does exist, although it is still trying to determine all of IPs stored with the folder....

As to why the iOS 10.3.4 update is important for the iPhone 5, it’s because the update addresses the GPS time rollover issue. For context, GPS-enabled devices measure time and date in denominations of weeks. In the case of the iPhone 5, the phone is only able to count up to 1024 weeks. After which the counter resets back to zero. As GPS requires accurate time data to work precisely, the reset could disrupt the feature, causing it to display inaccurate data....

During the “Hi, Speed” special event today, Apple claimed that the new iPhone 12 family covers the most 5G bands in the market. Paired with custom antennas and radio components that focused on sensitivity and efficiency, the company also stated that the iPhone 12 series is able to hit 3.5Gbps download speed in ideal condition with up to 4.0Gbps in mmWave. The iPhone 12 also comes with Smart Data Mode which dynamically switches the phone’s connectivity from 5G to LTE when users don’t need the speed....
