Loke’s statement comes just as a previous report indicated that the costs of hailing down a ride-sharing driver are likely to increase after 12 July. Mainly because services such as Grab are expected to lose as many as 50% of its drivers that still haven’t obtained their Personal Service Vehicle (PSV) license. Loke also explains that the reason no such regulation is in place yet is that there are no “hard and fast rules” where regulations are concerned....

In fact, the production of the upcoming Moto 360 is licensed to another company, the same way Nokia is licensed to HMD Global. The licensee, though, may not be a name that many are familiar with. It’s called eBuyNow, and the company claims over 15 years of working with major brands. As for the smartwatch itself, it will come equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 platform, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage....

As of today, the tariffs won’t be implemented until 15 December. The delayed tariffs, which would add an additional 10% the value of goods, include a long list of products over a number of exports. The list includes livestock, foodstuff, clothing, and of course, electronic goods. Such as smartphones, laptops, and video game consoles, to name a few. Additionally, the Trump administration also said that certain products are in the process of being removed from its list, but these products will be “based on safety, national security, and other factors and will not face additional tariffs of 10%”....

The Anti-Cheat Police Department, a bunch of volunteers who look out for and disrupt cheating groups, have shared on Twitter a new kind of cheating. As mentioned, it uses machine learning, The way it works is by having the cheat analyse your gameplay in real time, and the cheat adds in inputs so that your crosshairs snap to your enemies. Because it’s not an aim bot or wall hack, you will actually have to see your enemies for the cheat to kick in....

To start, the most obvious thing about the phone is that the display has the front of the phone all to itself. With the watchOS 5.2 update, Apple Watch Series 4 owners can now enable the ECG feature through the Health app on their iPhones. Capturing an ECG is simple; users just need to open the ECG app and rest their index finger on the digital crown. After an ECG reading is captured, the record and heart rhythm is stored in the Health app on your iPhone. The watchOS 5.2 update also adds support for the AirPods 2, allowing them to be connected to the Apple Watch with real-time text (RTT) for phone calls....

The toll prices display feature is now live for both Android and iOS device. As we checked, the feature does work for most tolls, including the North-South Expressway. However, there are still some tolls that still don’t have prices displayed yet. For example, the Kajang station on the North-South Expressway, from Mid Valley City to KLIA. That said, Waze utilises community feedback and map editors to bring information to other users....

This is to help users reduce eye strain when using WhatsApp in low light environments. In order to further reduce eye fatigue, developers have specifically chosen colours that are closer to the system defaults on Android and iOS respectively. Additionally, in order to have important information to stand out, design elements on its interface have also been slightly tweaked....

When this happens, Microsoft says that Windows will prevent problematic updates from installing for 30 days. As per its support page, this rollback is only performed as a last resort, and when it happens, the following message will appear upon the next boot-up. The company will attempt to investigate and fix the issue alongside its partners within a 30-days period. At the end of the period, Windows will try to install the updates again....

However, a recent listing in SIRIM’s database suggests that there’s a chance that we might be seeing the final entries of the brand’s current generation flagship smartphone line-up in Malaysia very soon. More specifically, the devices in question are likely to be the Xiaomi 12T series which, as you may recall, had been leaked back in August. As seen from the database entry, both variants of the Xiaomi 12T received approvals from SIRIM back in July this year....
