No, that’s dead and gone for we’ve seen the biggest and grandest of that. So now filmmakers, studios and writers will have to either subvert that trope or build it up to be a franchise. Ironically enough, there’s just no room for small potatoes. Which is why I find what Marvel and DC are doing now so utterly fascinating. They’re moving away from telling safe and relatable stories of everyday folks becoming extraordinary into exploring esoteric but nonetheless epic stories of gods and immortals....

ORIGINAL STORY (9 July 3:27 PM): Maxis has revamped its Hotlink Postpaid plans and will be launching them very soon according to the information that we have received from our reader. In addition to that, we have also discovered several images online that supported the information. According to aizat22 who has posted the image above on Lowyat.NET Forums, he stumbled upon the new Hotlink Postpaid plans above while visiting a Maxis dealer in Johor earlier this week....

The alleged renders were first published on the Dutch tech site, Nieuwe Mobile, and show the camera placement, colours, and design of the new Galaxy S23 flagships. For the S23 Ultra, the colour schemes that the brand is introducing are Phantom Black, Cotton Flower, Botanic Green, and Misty Lilac. Likewise, those same colour options will also be available for the S23+. To recap, Jeff Fowler, the director of the movie, caught some major flak over the initial design of Sonic. Bloomberg has a new report about a Japanese LCD maker pivoting its focus from phone screens to VR. But in it, the report also mentions the successor to the original PS VR. It claims that the company is looking to release it in “the holiday period of next year”. It also mentions that he headset will be using OLED panels provided by Samsung for its display. Prior reports pegged said display as being of around 4K resolution together....

However, now it looks like there’s a very real possibility that he might not be cast in the role at all. According to journalist Umberto Gonzalez of The Wrap and Heroic Hollywood, Nicholas Hoult is also one of the front runners to play The Dark Knight in Matt Reeves’ The Batman. In fact, both Pattinson and Hoult are screen testing for the role which will help Reeves and his team finalise their decision....

The rumour comes, yet again, from the prominent but fairly reliable hardware leakster, Kopite7kimi (@kopite7kimi), who has also been responsible for all other leaks of NVIDIA’s RTX 40 series rumours over the last several months. In their latest tweet, the leakster appears to have been informed that the RTX 4070 Ti will be fitted with an AD104 GPU and more specifically, a PG141-SKU331 model. — kopite7kimi (@kopite7kimi) August 1, 2022 The model designation of the GPU is relatively important here, because it indicates that, technically, the RTX 4070 Ti using this specific SKU will be pulling as much as 400W off the wall, sans the rest of the power needed to power the other components....

The rumour was first hinted by prominent and reliable leakster, kopite7kimi (@kopite7kimi), who kind of confirmed that small detail with a reply to another source’s tweet. Apparently, NVIDIA’s launch strategy for this round will be for the company to let the very top-tier of its Ada Lovelace architecture pave the way for its next generation of graphics cards. By that, they mean that NVIDIA will be launching the RTX 4090 first, followed by the RTX 4080, and then the RTX 4070....

In a rather interesting move by NVIDIA, the company has revamped its GeForce RTX lineup to mark the arrival of GeForce RTX Super graphics cards. Specifically, the RTX 2070 and RTX 2080 have now been replaced by their RTX Super counterparts although NVIDIA somehow decided to let RTX 2060 and RTX 2060 Super co-exist together. At the same time, the RTX 2080 Ti card still remained as the top model of the series and also retained the same starting price....

Huang explained that it isn’t the right time for the company to bring ray-tracing to smartphones, but it is something it may consider doing in the future. “Ray tracing games are quite large, to be honest,” he told journalists. “The data set is quite large, and there’ll be a time for it.” Instead, the NVIDIA CEO emphasised that the best strategy to reach various platforms including Android and iOS is via its GeForce Now service....

As for the 31 May (1 June for us), that’s the first day of Computex 2021, which isn’t all that surprising, considering NVIDIA is one of the event’s major contributors and showrunners....

For the uninitiated, Hopper is the name of the successor of Lovelace, which in turn is the GPU architecture that is set to replace the current generation, Ampere. Originally, it was Hopper that was supposed to replace the current GPU architecture but due to circumstances – AMD’s distribution of its 7nm process in 2020 being one of them – NVIDIA decided to prioritise Lovelace. To be fair, little is still known about the Hopper architecture, aside from reports that it is expected to be based on TSMC’s 5nm process....

As mentioned earlier, the OM-5 sports a highly durable body with an IP53 rating for dust and water resistance, and is claimed to be capable of surviving in temperatures as low as -10 degrees Celsius. It also comes with a Super Sonic Wave Filter system which is designed to reduce dust and dirt issues on the image sensor when swapping lenses. Unlike the OM-1, the newer model sports a slimmer profile and features additional dials on its upper interface....

The description in the trailer video provides a succinct enough summary of what to expect from the game: A storm, a shipwreck, a mysterious island. Being of the JRPG variety, One Piece Odyssey promises many of the elements you’d expect from the genre, from quests and dungeons to “powerful enemies, and strange encounters with island locals”, as the product page puts it. Another plus point the game has going for it is the involvement of Eiichiro Oda himself in the making of One Piece Odyssey....

The images reveal that the phone sports a waterfall curved display with a tiny punch-hole camera cutout on its upper left. The new subcompact EV is now currently on display at the Malaysia Motor Expo (MME) which is happening from today until this Sunday, 13 November at KL Convention Centre. Despite its appearance at MME, this does not mean that it has been launched in our market though. The MME outing acts more like a showcase as Great Wall Motors (GWM) Malaysia has yet to announce the pricing and availability date for the Good Cat in our market....
