Eset states that BlackTech primarily targets Asian governments and firms. In ASUS’ case, the security research firm detected BlackTech’s activity in Taiwan using router-level Man-in-the-Middle (MitM) attacks, and also where the Plead malware was reportedly most active. Alarms first began ringing when researchers at Eset found a process in WebStorage known as “ASUSWSPPanel.exe” activating Plead. In effect, Boost merchants are now able to accept cashless and contactless payments from users of any participating bank and e-wallets in the DuitNow ecosystem. At the same time, Boost users can now use the app to pay any merchant that supports DuitNow QR. ORIGINAL STORY (5:45 PM): Celcom has revealed that its network is currently facing disruption in the Northern part of Peninsular Malaysia. This was confirmed through an announcement on its Twitter and Facebook page. Due to the disruption, data, SMS, and voice services for customers within the region which includes Perlis, Kedah, Penang, and Perak might be affected. The announcement also stated that the disruption was caused by fibre failure....
