Koei Tecmo Games, the publisher of the Dead or Alive series, has announced that it is filing suit against someone who did just that. Specifically, the unnamed person compiled footage of multiple games running nude mods, and compiled them into a DVD. That DVD is sold on an auction site. Japanese publication Famitsu reports that Koei Tecmo is filing both a civil suit as well as a criminal case against the suspect....

A Twitter account that goes by @TailsChannel has been keeping track with the Player’s Choice Award votes for The Game Awards 2022. The person behind the account claims that both Sonic Frontiers and Genshin Impact are at a dead heat with 39% votes going to both. Also claimed is that the former is expected to break the tie, but considering the account handle, it’s hard to dismiss the possibility of bias in that claim....

Granted, the RX100 III is an old model which launched all the way back in 2014, but it was one of Sony’s most powerful compact cameras at one point. Age aside, its current discounted price is actually a worthwhile bargain since it officially retails at RM3,149 outside of this promotion. This is frankly baffling news. I would understand Sony’s decision if their partnership with Marvel Studios hasn’t bore fruit either from a quality standpoint or a financial standpoint. However, we just saw Tom Holland’s Peter Parker make a big splash in the climactic scene in Avengers: Endgame, a movie that has gone on to become the highest-grossing film of all time at the global box office ($US 2.79 billion). Also, under the guidance of Kevin Feige, Spider-Man: Far From Home not only went on to be the highest-grossing Spider-Man movie of all time, but it also surpassed Skyfall to be the highest-grossing Sony movie of all time....

Based on a tweet by the Twitter account Ask PlayStation UK, those that are still affected can fix this on their own by deleting the offending message via the PS app, going into the PS4’s Safe Mode, and selecting option 5, which refers to rebuilding the database of the console. — Ask PlayStation UK (@AskPS_UK) October 15, 2018 Because there are no other details of the fix, it’s entirely possible for another message of similar nature to surface in the future....

Sony initially said that the prototype was made to showcase its technology to car manufacturers, rather than a sign of it entering the automotive market. However, it appears that the company could be reconsidering that decision, and is further exploring what the Vision-S is capable of. In a video announcement uploaded to Sony’s official YouTube channel, it is revealed that the prototype car has arrived at their HQ in Tokyo....

Pictures of the 1000XM5’s packaging first appeared on Reddit and covered the front, top, and back of the headphones’ box. More importantly, the top of the box’s recycled paper wrapper also debunks the initial rumour of the headphone’s battery life being extended to 50 hours; the headphones will only have a battery life of 30 hours, which is 10 hours less than the 1000XM4’s 40 hours. However, there is speculation online that the 1000XM5’s overall battery life could actually be extended closer to 40 hours threshold, simply by switching over to a more power-efficient audio codec....

The patent images were presented side by side with Dutch sit LetsGoDigital’s concept renders and shows off a portion of the supposed user interface. At a glance, it’s clear that Sony is still intent on retaining the 21:9 aspect ratio on its next Xperia device. The takeaway here, though, is the illustration on the far right; LetsGoDigital’s concept image depicts the upcoming Xperia with a punch hole display. Additionally, it also suggests that its will an edge-to-edge display with what looks like a pretty sizable chin at the bottom....

Podcast hosts will have up to 20 different pricing options for their content, with three prices being available first, and the rest following after. These roll out for US podcasters first, and to the rest of the world on 15 September. The subscriptions also mean more than just getting access to podcast content. Spotify is also making it so that podcast creators can download a list of contact addresses for their subscribers....

Watching Terminator: Dark Fate reminded me a lot of some of the new Star Wars movies. Just like The Force Awakens, Dark Fate follows the template of the original film only remixed and repackaged with some new characters. It’s also similar to the Disney era of Star Wars in the sense that it’s willing to kill off past heroes on a whim. Early on in the film, John Connor takes a brutal shot to the chest by a Terminator and dies....
