Looking at the Realme 2, it has so much resemblance to the OPPO A3s, just like how the Realme 2 Pro had a lot of OPPO F9‘s DNA in it. Starting with the most obvious similarities: the design of the phone. It got the same display notch up front and the same dual-camera placement on its back. But the Realme 2 has some extras going for it, namely the fingerprint scanner and the diamond-cut design on its back which was clearly adopted from the F7 Diamond Black edition.
It’s much the same story with specs. The Realme 2 comes with a 6.2-inch HD+ display, an 8MP shooter on the front, a 13MP + 2 MP camera combo the back, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor and a 4230mAh battery. These are all the items found in common with the OPPO A3s. A couple of notable differences are where the RAM and storage are concerned. You get the option of either 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, or 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The front camera has also been given the facial unlock feature.
The Realme 2 will come in three colours – Blue, Black and Red. As of now, the Realme 2 has only been announced for the Indonesian market. The variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage will be priced at IDR1999000 (~RM545), and the second variant, with 4GB RAM and G4GB of internal storage, is priced at IDR2399000 (~RM654). As for the Realme 2 Pro, while most of the specs are the same as when we reported last week, it appears there are two more variants. In addition to the one with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage, there are also options for 6GB RAM with 64GB storage, as well as 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
They’re priced at IDR3699000 (~RM1006), IDR3299000 (~RM898) and IDR2899000 (~RM789), respectively. Last but not least, the Realme C1 is priced at IDR1399000 (~RM381). We’ll let you know when we learn more about local pricing and availability.Meanwhile, do stay tuned while we get some quick hands-on time with both the Realme 2 and Realme 2 Pro.
