Despite the shiny new look, elements found in the trailer should be familiar to those who have played the original. In it, we get a better look at protagonist Jill Valentine, as well as Carlos Oliveira, the second playable character. There was also a glimpse of the title’s eponymous antagonist, Nemesis, though not a clear one. For those who need a refresh, Resident Evil 3 takes place around the same time as Resident Evil 2. According to Engadget, the remake will also come with more content than the original. It will also be using the same RE Engine that powered the previous remake. To say the least, this is assuring given that Resident Evil 2 Remake looked so gorgeous.

— Resident Evil (@RE_Games) December 10, 2019 The trailer also revealed that Resident Evil 3 Remake will come with a multiplayer mode called Resident Evil Resistance. If the name sounds familiar to you, that’s because Capcom first revealed it earlier in September, as Project Resistance. Think of this as a higher stakes version of Left 4 Dead. According to the trailer, Resident Evil 3 Remake and Resident Evil Resistance will be released on 3 April 2020. Beyoond the PS4, the game will also be available on PC and Xbox One.
