TizenHelp first spotted a Korean press release for the smaller Galaxy Home. The press release has since been removed. That said, it contained a few details about the smart speaker, which TizenHelp manage to take a screenshot of. For one, it offers 360-degree surround sound via AKG-tuned 5W speakers. Another is that it will be announced on 12 February. This is a day after the Galaxy Unpacked event, where the Korean tech giant is expected to announce the Samsung Galaxy S20, as well as the Galaxy Z Flip. It’s entirely possible that it will be announced in the same event, when you take time zone differences into account.

If the Samsung Galaxy Home Mini does launch next week, it would have been a year since its original announcement. A reason for this was so that the company could make it a control hub for other smart home devices. Originally, it was meant to be just a Bixby-enabled smart speaker. The final detail of the Samsung Galaxy Home Mini is that it will be priced at KRW99000 (~RM343). But with the official press release taken down, the only way to be sure of its price and availability is to wait until next week.
