The name of the upcoming flagship was confirmed when a segment of what appeared to be a presentation rehearsal popped up on Sony’s official Xperia YouTube channel. Unfortunately for the brand, some viewers caught a glimpse of the show before it was taken down. Even worse, some of them were able to screenshot the presentation slide of the Xperia 5 in all its glory. According to a tweet by David Baptista da Silva (@DBaptistaSilva), the Xperia 5 seems to retain the same 21:9 display ratio as the Xperia 1, as well as Dolby Atmos. Additionally, the phone will come with full wireless support for the PlayStation DualShock 4 controller; a feature that is also extended towards the Xperia 1. Last but not least, it looks like the phone will be available in four colours; black, blue, white, and magenta. https://twitter.com/DBaptistaSilva/status/1169253962706350082?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1169253962706350082&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.androidpolice.com%2F2019%2F09%2F04%2Fsony-xperia-2-xperia-5-leak%2F Hints of the Xperia 5 first appeared near the end of last week. Back then, it was rumoured that the phone would be known as the Xperia 2. In regards to its design, the phone looks nearly identical to the Xperia 1, save for the placement of the main camera. As pointed out by Android Police, Sony usually accompanies the announcement of its flagship smartphones with a mid-range variant of the Xperia lineup. Unfortunately, it looks like we’ll just have to wait until later to find out. (Source: Android Police)
