As the original model took two years to arrive in Malaysia, so it is rather interesting that its successor arrived in Malaysia just 5 months after it was revealed to the world earlier this year. While both of them still deliver 360-degrees sound output, the 2019 model is more compact than its predecessor.

This is likely because the LSPX-S2 is equipped with a smaller 35mm woofer as opposed to the 50mm unit on the LSPX-S1. That doesn’t mean the new speaker is less capable though since it does support Hi-Res Audio and LDAC. Additionally, the LSPX-S2 also has a longer battery life which is rated at 8 hours. When it comes to its illumination capability, users have access to 32 levels of brightness that allows them to choose the right level of light to match the environment and mood. They can even activate the candlelight mode on LSPX-S2 to make its light flicker like an actual candle. At the same time, the LSPX-S2 also costs less than the original model although at RM 2,599, it is still quite a hefty price tag. If you want to check it out in action, you can visit Sony Stores at Suria KLCC and The Curve or learn more about it at Sony Malaysia’s official website.
