Of course, like all free services in today’s modern age, there are a couple of catches. Firstly, all the free movies come with ads attached to them. They pop up mid-film, just as they would when you watch a typical YouTube video. It’s a fair trade, given that there are some titles in that list that would appeal to a good number of YouTube’s 1.9 billion monthly active viewers. The second catch is more of a regional issue. At current, YouTube Movies is not available in Malaysia. Seriously, if you visit the service’s official page, all you’re greeted with is a blank playlist.
Fortunately, there is a way to skirt the issue. All you need is a VPN that has access to a US-based IP. Once you’re connected, the playlists should automatically be visible. In our case, we found that the VPNs TunnelBear and Windscribe seemed to work. (Source: AdAge, Mactrast)
